Patio areas
The enclosed patio area is well-lit for those warm evenings when you want to eat out and partly shaded for those hot sunny days. There is a rattan table & chairs that can seat eight people, a hammock and a hammock chair. The garden patio area is an ideal place for eating all your meals or just relaxing on a sunlounger.
Grounds
The swimming pool which is not heatedis situated by the patio area at the back of the villa and there is car parking to the side of the villa. There are sunloungers and umbrellas on the poolside and sunloungers and umbrellas on the garden patio area. There is half an acre of landscaped gardens and double electric entrance gates.
Changeover days
These are flexible depending on the length of your stay. The villa is to be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure with some flexibility if no changeover on that day . The villa can be occupied after 4 pm on arrival day.
Car Hire
Car hire is recommended and we can supply you with the details of a couple of reputable local car hire firms that we have dealt with in the past.
THE ISLAND
Corfu is the northernmost and greenest of the Greek Islands in the Ionian sea and is known as the Emerald of the Ionian Islands with the lush green olive groves and rugged hillsides fringed by beautiful sandy beaches and shingle coves. You will discover a most enchanting place. Play golf at one of Europe’s finest golf courses, horse-ride through quiet countryside, learn the basics of dinghy sailing and water-skiing, soar over the sea on a parachute or dive under on a scuba-diving experience.
The temperature from May to September is between 18c and 30c so ideal conditions for walkers,cyclists and the sunbather/swimmer.
At night you can visit the many tavernas for a traditional Greek Evening or just relax at a bar and enjoy the friendliness of the Greeks.
CORFU TOWN
The bustling capital, Corfu town, has cosmopolitan restaurants and sophisticated shops
DASSIA
Dassia is an attractive resort on the main coastal road to the north east of Corfu with great views across the mountains of the Greek mainland and Albania. There is a good selection of eating places along the beach and within the main resort and also shops and clubs to dance the night away.
There is plenty to attract all ages during the day at the beach from watersports to boat hire and with the water being calm and flat with a gentle sloping pebble and shingle beach it is a superb place to swim for all.
COAST/BEACH
There are beautiful pebbly beaches on the North East coast, 15-30 minutes drive away and sandy beaches on the West coast, 30 minutes drive away.
The coastline is idyllic and fascinating with stunning views from the coast and mountains of Albania to the expanse of the deep blue Ionian Sea whilst sheltering rocky coves and long sandy beaches.
INLAND
The drive inland through all the unspoilt picturesque villages can be challenging but well worth the effort. To be able to experience the ‘feel’ of greek life and chat to a local while tasting the cuisine is definitely time well spent. The scenery is spectacular, heavily wooded in places and home to small vineyards and ‘colourful’ villages.
IN AND AROUND ANO KORAKIANA
In Spring and Autumn the island is ideal for walkers and cyclists to enjoy the comfortable climate and beautiful scenery. The villa is ideally situated for short strolls or longer rambles with the fauna and flora to enjoy along the way. Bicycle hire is available in the resort of Dassia and horse-riding available locally. ‘Trailriders’ takes riders of all abilities and trek through the unspoilt olive groves close to the villa. The village has two small shops one with a post office and two small tavernas. During July and August there is entertainment in the village.
KATO KORAKIANA
Kato Korakiana is a traditional village just a couple of minutes drive away and offers a supermarket, butcher's, bakery and three good tavernas
THE MAINLAND
With ferries running on a regular basis to Igoumenitsa it is very easy to travel across to the mainland and explore the Meteora and many other beautiful regions as the roads are extremely good. Take a look at the photos in the gallery.
